Can I Carry Out LPG Conversions?

There is an ever increasing demand for engine conversions to Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG).

To be able to carry out conversions, you need to be a qualified vehicle technician, it is also strongly recommended that you become an approved installer through the Approved Autogas Installer Scheme.

The Approved Autogas Installer Scheme is run by the trade association UKLPG and is recognised by all the major LPG companies, the government and insurers, as the best indication of an installer’s competence to make conversions. Many insurers will not offer car insurance unless an approved installer has carried it out.
